Latest border directive – entering Queensland

Queensland Health have issued an updated Border Direction and updates to the Queensland Freight Protocol will come into effect at 1:00am on Saturday 21 August. There are two options for freight operators to enter Queensland, and the requirements are summarised below:
  1. All freight and logistics operators can enter Queensland using an F Pass with no requirement to have had a COVID vaccine.
  2. Freight and logistics operators who are only delivering into the NSW Border Zone can either:
    1. Enter Queensland using an F Pass; OR
    2. Enter Queensland with a Border Zone X Pass if they have had at least one dose of a COVID vaccine by 1:00am Saturday 21 August
Requirements for an F Pass:
  1. Carry evidence of a negative COVID test in the past 7 days (or evidence of a test, no result required, within the last 3 days if travelled into an affected area)
  2. Maintain a 7 day rolling testing regime
  3. Carry a copy of the business COVID Safe Plan (example here)
  4. Carry a Close Contact Record Sheet (example here)
  5. Comply with the Queensland Freight Protocol
Requirements for a Border Zone X Pass:
  1. Delivery must only be within the NSW Border Zone area (map here)
  2. Carry evidence of at least one dose of a COVID vaccine (vaccine card, printed certificate, screenshot or digital passport)
