LRTAQ 2021 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

CELEBRATING 40 YEARS | 16 - 18 JULY 2021 | ROMA

The Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of Queensland (LRTAQ) 2021 Annual Conference is scheduled for 16 – 18 July. We invite you to join us as we mark our milestone 40th anniversary. Fittingly, we are headed back to where it all started – Roma – the location of the very first meeting of the then LTAQ back in 1981.

LRTAQ members, industry members, suppliers, service providers and government representatives are invited to join us over the three days to receive the latest updates, discuss the future of our industry, and enjoy great social events.

For many of our members and supporters, the LRTAQ Annual Conference is also an opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues and build new and lasting business relationships. Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference, and there is a Partner Tour on the Friday we hope you’ll take up.

Conference overview

Haulmark Trailers Transport Forum

The Haulmark Trailers Transport Forum will be held on the Friday 16 July and will provide an opportunity for our members to hear directly from industry partners, decision makers and government representatives from across the transport sector. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear the latest updates on the future of our industry, and on key policy matters such a fatigue management and chain of responsibility. Accompanying the Transport Forum is a Trade Showcase, where our sponsors and service providers will have the opportunity to showcase vehicles, equipment, products and services to attendees. It’s an opportunity to catch up with old friends build new business relationships.

Partner Tour

Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend the LRTAQ conference. A half day tour has been developed to coincide with the Transport Forum and includes a tour of Roma town, and a paint and sip class in a relaxed and social environment – no experience required, our experienced teacher will coax out those creative juices.

Western Star Welcome Reception

The 2021 Annual Conference social program kicks off with the Western Star Welcome Reception on the evening of Friday 16 July. Attendees will enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner and drinks.

Perrier Ryan “Pots and Shots”

Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of relaxed fun and friendly competition at the beautiful Roma Clay Target Club. Drinks and light finger food will be served on the open verandah overlooking the complex.

For those joining in on the friendly competition, no experience is needed as a thorough safety induction and hands-on assistance from qualified volunteer instructors will keep the competition flowing. Participation in the shooting is optional, and observers can enjoy the afternoon on the verandah.

Bus transfers to and from Roma Explorers Inn will ensure guests arrive home by 4:30pm.

Brown and Hurley, Cummins and Kenworth 2021 LRTAQ Bull Carter’s Ball

The conference culminates in the legendary “Bull Carter’s Ball” on the evening of Saturday 17 April 2021. To mark the significance of our 40th year, this event will be black tie, with a special guest speaker.  Members past and present, industry partners, service providers and government representatives are invited to join us to celebrate 4 decades of service to the livestock and rural transport industry. This event includes a three course meal, presentation of the LRTAQ Young Person in Transport Award, Auction and of course the traditional open bar.

Kingbars Farewell Breakfast

To wrap up the conference, attendees and partners are invited to a casual breakfast on Sunday morning.
